![]() ![]() The website was estimating a 6 month wait time, and we were looking at only 3 more months until our house was ready-so of course I placed the order right away. ![]() I had a chuckle imagining her giant kitchen with a tiny mini fridge, and promptly went home to shop for a washer and dryer. He told us that one of our neighbors had just closed because she didn't want to wait any longer, but she had to go buy a mini fridge to put in the place of the regular refrigerator (that she technically bought with the house) because that was literally the last thing they were waiting on for it to be move-in ready. Our contractor urged us to place our order for our washer and dryer ASAP because we had opted not to buy them through the builder. I was told the same thing last April when we were nearing completion on our new construction home. When the guys delivered those, they said that they do the most returns for OBQ issues on Samsung units. My newer LG has a spring on the door that keeps it from swinging closed on it's own.īought another LG set for the new house, but haven't been here long enough to tell you if they're any good. This is probably common to all front loaders, keeping the door open allowed it to air dry without smells. If you closed the door after a load, the inside of the washer would stink up (musty smells).I think this was from using too much detergent on a load. Sometimes there would be a bunch of suds that came out an overflow at the top of the unit.Don't see how this is the fault of the washer. It would always be a clump of my wife's hair that would get stuck on the seal area. After a while, the seal between the door would leak a bit at the bottom.Just need to move stuff around in the washer and try again, or remove some and just do smaller loads Usually when we stuffed too much in the washer. Probably did 10 loads per week on average. I used them for 7 years without any issues and then sold the house.
